CURRENT ANNOUNCEMENTS    

  • Dear students,
    the placements for the 2026-2027 Erasmus activities will take place on Monday, March 9, at 12:00 PM in Room T-303.  Attendance at the meeting is mandatory for students making selections for this program; there will be no other placement session. Since placements will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, please do not be late for the meeting.

     

  • Dear students, the list of candidates for the 2026-2027 Erasmus program has been received. A general information meeting will be held online via the link below on Thursday, February 26, at 9:00 PM; the placement meeting will be held in person at a time and location to be announced later. Attendance at both meetings is mandatory; students with a valid excuse must email the Erasmus coordinator or assistant coordinator in advance. 
     
  • As of 2023, under the Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) Project, the Learning Agreement will now be prepared online via https://learning-agreement.eu/ without the use of paper. This document prepared online is called the Online Learning Agreement (OLA). If the host institution you will be attending has not yet transitioned to using the OLA, you can still prepare your document through the system; after adding your own signature and that of your YTÜ department coordinator, you can download the document as a PDF and email it to the host institution for signature. PAST ANNOUNCEMENTS : 

  • Dear students, as part of the 2025-2026 Erasmus placement process, a general information session will be held on Thursday, March 13, at 4:00 p.m., and a student placement session will be held on Thursday, March 20, at 4:00 p.m. The meetings will take place in Room T-303. Attendance at both meetings is mandatory for placement; students with a valid excuse must email the Erasmus email address in advance.
  • Students participating in the Study Mobility program for the 2023-2024 ERASMUS+ academic year should click here for information on their host institutions and the relevant Department ERASMUS Commission members. (September 18, 2023)
  • Click here to download the outgoing student notification form created following the meeting held for the 2022-2023 Erasmus activity.
  • Dear students, the list of candidates for the 2022-2023 Erasmus program has been received. A general information meeting will be held on Friday, April 8, at 10:00 a.m., and a student placement meeting will be held on Monday, April 11, at 10:00 a.m. The meetings will take place in Room T-304. Attendance is mandatory; students with a valid excuse must email the Erasmus office in advance. (April 6, 2022)
  • Two of our students have waived their right to participate in the Erasmus program at the University of Liège (Université de Liège). This is announced to our students. (Update: June 22, 2021)
  • Two of our students have waived their Erasmus eligibility (Technical University of Berlin and National Technical University of Athens). This is announced to our students. (Update: September 24, 2021)

  • Reminders Regarding Course Changes 

 

  • Credit Recognition for Language Courses: 

    • Provided that credit equivalence is established, any language course taken abroad may be counted toward the language courses listed in the department’s course catalog. (For example, language courses such as German, English, Spanish, etc., can be counted toward courses like English Reading and Speaking or English for Business listed here.) However, language courses taken abroad cannot be counted toward other elective courses listed in the department’s course catalog.
    • Graduate students cannot take or transfer language courses to fulfill the ECTS credit requirement specified in the LA document

     

  • ABOUT LANGUAGE LEVELS FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS
    • The following Erasmus partner institutions require specific language certificates. Students who have these certificates will be given priority in placements, regardless of their scores.
    • Our agreement with the University of Strathclyde—SCOTLAND—is for two semesters, and the host institution requires a score of 6.5 or higher on the IELTS exam.
    • FH Kiel – GERMANY – The host institution requires Erasmus students to provide a B2-level certificate from the Goethe-Institut (Turkey). Students below the B2 level will not be accepted.
    • TU Berlin – GERMANY – The host institution requires Erasmus students to provide a B1-level certificate from the Goethe-Institut (issued in Turkey). Students with a level below B1 will not be accepted. (TU Berlin – GERMANY accepts only graduate students.)
